Zusammenfassung:	A backlight assembly and a display device including the same are provided to improve heat release efficiency by exposing a heat release fin of a buffer member to the outside of a bottom chassis. A flat panel fluorescent lamp(200) includes a lamp body generating light and an electrode part formed at the lamp body. A buffer member(300) contacts the electrode part, and includes at least one heat release fin. A bottom chassis(400) includes a bottom portion and a side portion, receives the flat panel fluorescent lamp and the buffer member, and exposes the heat release fin to the outside. A plurality of heat release fins are provided, and separated at a predetermined interval along a longitudinal direction of the buffer member.
