ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY OF NOVEL STRUCTURE AND SECONDARY BATTERY COMPRISING THE SAME

Provided are an electrode assembly, which allows the transformation of an electrode structure and has excellent mechanical strength and a small potential difference between electrodes, and a secondary battery comprising the same, which is able to be manufactured into various shapes. The electrode assembly has separators interposed between positive electrodes and negative electrodes. The positive electrode and/or negative electrode have a structure in which an electrode active material is applied on the surface of a current collector with a circular or polygonal shape on a horizontal section. The secondary battery comprises the electrode assembly. A battery case is fitted with the electrode assembly of which many long positive electrodes and negative electrodes are extended to a length direction relative to the horizontal section.
