Zusammenfassung:	Provided are composition for forming a refractory coating which is free from the residue deteriorating the flame retardancy of a coating and is environmental friendly, a thermoplastic polymer foamed lip using the composition, and a polymer foam molded product. The composition for forming a refractory coating comprises: 100 parts by weight of a novolac resin; 5-100 parts by weight of a crosslinking agent; 20-200 parts by weight of water; optionally 10-200 parts by weight of an inorganic filler; and optionally 1-50 parts by weight of a flame retardant. Preferably the novolac resin has a melting point of 40-120 deg.C and an average particle size of 1-100 micrometers, and the crosslinking agent is hexamethylene tetramine, melamine-formalin resin, formic acid, amine alcohol organic acid having polyvalent reactive functional group, or their mixture.
