Zusammenfassung: | An ultrasonic distance sensor with a wide directional angle is provided to secure the radiation angle of ultrasonic waves over 180 degrees by properly adjusting a diameter of a sound emission aperture, thereby increasing a sensing range in using the ultrasonic distance sensor for a moving robot and a range finder. An ultrasonic distance sensor with a wide directional angle is composed of a unimorph-type vibration plate(200) comprising a circular metal plate(10) and electrodes arranged in a cylindrical plastic housing(90), and a circular or square piezo-electric ceramic plate(20) formed by attaching one of the electrodes to the metal plate; a cone-shaped resonator(30) attached on the upside of the metal plate; and an aperture(80) formed at one spot in a sound emission screen(81). The radiation angle of the ultrasonic wave toward an upper end of the vibration plate is widened by adjusting the width of the aperture. |
