A TELESCOPIC COLUMN

A telescopic column is provided to reduce weight of a steering wheel and the telescopic column using restoring force of a spring to enable a driver to conveniently operate the telescopic performance. A telescopic column includes a compression spring(21) and two plastic bushes(20). The compression spring must be applied proper to characteristics of the telescopic column. A spring constant, slightly greater than a force to support entire weight of a steering wheel and the telescopic column, is applied. If the spring is too strong, greater force is required. The plastic bushes have a donut shape having a fixing hole(23) and locking steps(22). The locking steps are to place the end of the spring, and the spring is inserted into the outer circumferences of the locking steps. Two plastic bushes are inserted into the lower end of an input shaft and an upper outer side of an output shaft. The spring is inserted between two plastic bushes to be fixed. Each of the plastic bushes has thread formed in the fixing hole and threads formed in places where the plastic bushed are installed.
