Zusammenfassung:	An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce the touch defect, by forming a recess portion surrounding a protrusion, which is contacted with a portion of a column spacer of an upper substrate, on a lower substrate so that the column spacer is not contacted with the lower substrate even if a pressure is applied to the lower substrate or the upper substrate. A first substrate(100) and a second substrate(200) are oppositely bonded to each other. A protrusion(51) is formed on the second substrate. A first column spacer(50a) is formed on the first substrate. The protrusion is contacted with the center portion of the first column spacer. A recess portion(52) is formed on the second substrate, wherein the recess portion surrounds the protrusion. A liquid crystal layer is formed between the first substrate and the second substrate.
