DETERGENT SUPPLY APPARATUS OF WASHING MACHINE

A detergent supplying device of a washing machine is provided to prevent water, which does not run out through a siphon device, from overflowing the detergent box and draining to the outside of the washing machine when the washing water is supplied to the detergent box equipped with the siphon device so as to send detergent or rinsing fluid to a washing tub. A detergent supplying device of a washing machine comprises a detergent box. The detergent box has plural chambers(38) and a siphon device. The siphon device is installed to at least one of the plural chambers. The siphon device has a siphon tube(51) and a cover member(60). The siphon tube is formed on the bottom of the chamber. The cover member is installed at the upper side of the siphon tube. The cover member has a siphon cap(70) and a bypass path(64). The siphon cap surrounds the siphon tube to shape a siphon path(52) with the siphon tube. The bypass path circulates water overflowing from the siphon path again to the siphon path. The cover member has an upper plate(61), a lower plate(62), and a front plate. The front plate connects the upper plate with the lower plate. The bypass path is formed between the upper and lower plates.
