Zusammenfassung:	An adjustable support bar for a steam turbine diaphragm is provided to reduce a cycle time required to regulate the vertical position of the diaphragm of a steam turbine. A stem turbine includes an upper diaphragm(120), a lower diaphragm(130), and a support bar. The support bar can be attached to at least one of the upper diaphragm and the lower diaphragm. The adjustable support bar includes a screw so that the adjustable support bar can lift or lower the upper or lower diaphragm without removing the upper or lower diaphragm. The adjustable support bar includes a protruding arm and an opening. The screw is located in the opening and a ware pad is located at the circumference of the screw.
