Zusammenfassung:	A hermetic electric compressor is provided to produce a terminal suitable for carbon dioxide coolant and withstand high pressure by manufacturing a terminal main body with carbon steel having less than 0.18% carbon. A hermetic electric compressor comprises an electric element(14), a compression element(32,34), and a terminal(20). The electric element is installed inside the hermetic compressor. The compression element is operated by the electric element, and the carbon dioxide cooling medium, compressed by the compression element, is discharged within the hermetic container(12). The terminal is installed in the hermetic compressor and feeds the electric element. The terminal is made of electric terminal and a terminal main body(3), and the terminal main body is made with low voltage forging. The terminal main body is made from carbon steel having less than 0.18% carbon content. The terminal main body has a section which welds to the hermetic container cut processed.
