BLOCK FOR RETAINING WALL

A block for a retaining wall, improving work efficiency in retaining wall construction. A block body has a front and a rear wall, and a left and a right wall, and is formed to have at least an upper face opening. The block body is formed such that its rear wall has a lower height than its front wall, and it is made possible that block bodies in a lower layer directly carry block bodies in the layer directly on the lower layer so that block bodies can be multiply layered. When a retaining wall is constructed by multiply layering block bodies along a cut soil surface in a retaining wall construction site, rolling work can be performed in two steps. In a first step rolling work, a filler material is poured, to a height greater than that of the rear walls, in the block bodies of the lowermost layer and in gaps between the block bodies and the cut soil surface, and then the surface of the filler material is rolled. Then, in a second step rolling work, the filler material is poured, to the same height as the front walls, in the lowermost layer block bodies and in the gaps between the block bodies and the cut soil surface, and then the surface of the filler material is rolled. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
