Zusammenfassung:Provided are a carbazole ring-containing compound, which is superior in a blue light emitting characteristic or a hole transport characteristic and is used as blue light emitting materials, and an organic electroluminescence display device, which has a high-efficiency light emitting function and a low energy consumption characteristic. The carbazole ring-containing compound is one compound selected from compounds represented by the following formulae 7, 8, 11, 13, and 15. The organic electroluminescence display device comprises an organic layer between a pair of electrodes, wherein the organic layer contains the carbazole ring-containing compound. The organic layer is a light emitting layer. The light emitting layer further comprises a phosphorescent or fluorescent dopant of the visible region.
