Zusammenfassung:	A multi-view directional display is provided to increase the angle between two viewing windows generated by the display by arranging a parallax optic in an image display element of the display. A multi-view directional display includes an image display element and a parallax optic(13). The image display element includes a first substrate(19), a second substrate and an image display layer interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The parallax optic is arranged inside the image display element. The multi-view directional display uses light within the visible spectrum in order to display images directly seen to viewers. The parallax optic is located between the first substrate and the second substrate. The parallax optic includes a plurality of parallax elements, which are respectively arranged in recesses formed on the main surface of the first substrate. The first substrate includes a base substrate, a light-transmitting layer located on the base substrate, and a plurality of recesses formed in the light-transmitting layer.
