SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEARCHING AND PRINTING A FILE

A system and a method for searching/outputting a file are provided to read the file by searching a file list without increasing time delay or network load, as the file list including names of the files stored in each printer and location information of the stored files is installed to each printer. A communication interface(310) transceives a request for searching or printing the file, and printing data. A memory(330) stores the file storing the printing data, and the file list including the names of the files stored in each printer(230) connected to the network and the location information of the stored files. A controller(320) searches the requested file from the file list stored in the memory and reads the searched file from the memory of the printer connected to the network. An output part(340) outputs the read file. The file list is updated in real-time whenever the new file is stored to the memory of the printer connected to the network. An output requester(300) requests search or output of the file.
