COMMUNICATION SYSTEM HAVING AN OBTIMAL CALL PURSUITING FUNCTION AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREFORE

A communication system having an optimum call-termination tracking function and its control method are provided to improve the quality of a communication service by managing a plurality of different communication equipments through a single representative number. A PBX(Private Branched eXchange)(2) registers a representative number for communication with a plurality of different communication equipments(1A-1N) and performs a call function through the representative number. When a representative number call signal is received by the PBX(2), a management server(3) tracks a communication equipment available for an optimum call and connects a call to a corresponding terminal(6). A WAN(Wide Area Network)(4) connects the management server(3) and the different communication equipments(1A-1N) through a LAN.
