MEDIA FOR CULTURING LACTIC ACID BACTERIA USED FOR PREPARING HIGH CONCENTRATED GABA

A media for producing highly concentrated gamma aminobutyric acid(GABA) is provided to be able to obtain a culture solution having high GABA content by converting more than 85% of monosodium glutamate(MSG) into GABA. The media for producing GABA from monosodium glutamate using lactic acid bacteria comprises natural ingredients selected from the group consisting of soybean, rice bran, buck wheat, soybean extract, rice bran extract, buck wheat extract, powdered skim milk, whole milk powder, soybean milk, milk and rice water as a main fermentation source. The media further comprises carbon source selected from the group consisting of glucose, sucrose, maltose, fructose, lactose, xylose, galactose, arabinose, and combinations thereof.
