Zusammenfassung:A shadow mask for a cathode ray tube is provided to set a thickness thereof within a range of 0.15 to 0.2mm by setting a vertical pitch of a beam passing hole within a range of 0.4 to 0.5mm. A shadow mask for a cathode ray tube includes an effective screen part and an imperforate part. The effective screen part includes a predetermined pattern of a plurality of beam passing holes(20). The imperforate part is formed with a rim surrounding the effective screen part. A vertical pitch of the beam passing hole is set within a range of 0.4 to 0.5mm. The thickness of the shadow mask for the cathode ray tube is set within a range of 0.15 to 0.2mm.
