Zusammenfassung:	Water-repellent gypsum composition (A) comprises (parts by weight): gypsum (100); at least one oxide or hydroxide of alkali or alkaline earth metals (0.05-50); and glycol-functional siloxane mixture (0.05-20), prepared by the reaction of 1 mole equivalent of alkyltrihalosilane or alkyltrialkoxysilane with at least 2 mole equivalents of a glycol or mixture of glycols. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a process for the water-repellent treatment of gypsum, in which 100 parts by weight of gypsum are mixed with 0.05-50 parts by weight of at least one oxide or hydroxide of alkali or alkaline earth metals and 0.05-20 parts by weight of glycol-functional siloxane mixture; and (2) a glycol-functional siloxane mixture prepared by reacting one mole of alkyltrihalosilane or alkyltrialkoxysilane with 2.5-2.9 moles of a glycol or mixture of glycols.
