Zusammenfassung:	A liquid crystal display is provided, which includes: a first signal line; a second signal line intersecting the first signal line; a thin film transistor connected to the first and the second signal lines; a first field generating electrode and a second field generating electrode facing each other; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein one of the first and the second field generating electrodes is connected to the thin film transistor, and the first field generating electrode includes a plurality of first branch electrodes extending obliquely to the first and the second signal lines.
