POLISHING APPARATUS AND POLISHING SYSTEM FOR GLASS

This invention is involved in a polishing apparatus and a polishing system used to polish the thin-plate glass for display device or thick-plate glass for the blank mask, the shadow mask of picture tube, etc. It comprises: a polishing rack; a lower plate installed to the aforementioned polishing rack in a detachable way and mounted with adhesive; an upper plate, which is mounted with polishing pad in facing with the lower plate, installed opposite to the upper surface of the lower plate and internally equipped with the polishing liquid conduit for the passage of the polishing liquid; a driver device used to rotate the upper plate; a transferring device used to transfer the driver device; a polishing liquid supply device supplying the polishing liquid through the polishing liquid conduit in the upper plate. This invention provides a glass polishing apparatus and a polishing system capable of polishing the large-sized or thick glasses and effectively transferring the glass substrate after polishing.
