Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a strand- guiding roller for supporting and directing cast metal strands in a continuous casting plant. Said strand-guiding roller comprises a central rotatable shaft (1) and at least one roller jacket (3) that is supported in a torsion-proof manner on said shaft. In order for the strand-guiding roller to be able to better deal with mechanical and thermal loads, the roller jacket rests upon the shaft via bearing rings (4) or an annular support sleeve (26), an annular space (6) that is delimited in an axial direction by the bearing rings (4) is formed between the shaft (1) and the roller jacket (3), and the annular space (6) is embodied as a coolant duct.
