Zusammenfassung:Although an Ag-CdO based material has excellent electrical characteristics, e.g. fusion resistance, arc consumption resistance, low contact resistance, and the like, required for electric contact, Cd tends to take a direction of disuse as can be seen from national emission standard or waste electric electronic equipment (WEEE) ordinance of EC. The method for producing an Ag-oxide based electric contact material is characterized in that an Ag rich layer produced on the uppermost surface and an oxide aggregation layer directly under the Ag rich layer are suppressed and a composite oxide of an additive element is deposited and distributed uniformly and finely up to the inner tissue deep layer by raising the temperature gradually from a level not higher than 200°C to an upper limit of 700°C in a pressurized oxygen atmosphere of 5kg/cm2-50kg/cm2 after replacing the atmosphere in a pressure oxidation furnace by oxygen thereby internally oxidizing an internal oxidative Ag alloy produced under conditions of cold working rate of 50%-95%.
