SOLUTION: In a plate glass cutting machine for scribing the plate glass by providing a supporting cutter holder 11 for the cutter wheel 3 freely vertically movable by a proper guide means 3, vertically pressing the cutter holder through a pressing means 9 and traveling one of the plate glass and the cutter wheel while pressing the cutter wheel to the plate glass A, a supporting part of the cutter wheel is inclined in the direction to which the cutter wheel bites into the plate glass in scribing.
