A multi-mode communication terminal capable of charge control according to the communication method being used among a plurality of communication methods. The multi-mode communication terminal includes a first communication section (10) for performing communication in the first communication method, a second communication section (11) for performing communication in the second communication method, a communication method switching section (12) for selecting and switching to the first communication section (10) or the second communication section (11), a control section (13) for managing a selection state by the communication method switching section (12) and a charge control method switching section (14), a first charge control section (15) for performing charge control to a secondary battery (17) when the first communication section (10) is selected, and a second charge control section (16) for performing charge control to the secondary battery (17) when the second communication section (11) is selected, a charge control method switching section (14) for selecting the first charge control section (15) or the second charge control section (16) so as to switch the charge control method, and a secondary battery (17) charge-controlled by the first charge control section (15) or the second charge control section (16).
