SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOADING SOFTWARE ON A PLURALITY OF PROCESSORS

A system and a method for extracting a processor type from a file and loading the file on processors matched with the processor type are provided to associate one processor type with one file and load the file on the processor of the matched processor type. An SPU(Synergistic Processing Unit) accesses a memory position or the memory positions in a sandbox by issuing a DMA(Direct Memory Access) command to a DMAC(Direct Memory Access Controller)(3602). The DMAC searches a key of the requesting SPU from a key control table by using the ID of the SPU(3604). The DMAC searches a memory access key related to the sandbox from a memory access control table by using a sandbox ID in the command(3608). The DMAC compares the SPU key allocated to the requesting SPU with the access key related to the sandbox(3608). If two keys are disagreed, the DMA command is suspended and an error message is sent to the SPU and a PU(Processing Unit)(3612). If the two keys are agreed, the DMAC executes the DMA command(3614).
