CARGO PROTECTING SYSTEM FOR A PICKUP TRUCK

A cargo protecting device of a pick-up truck is provided to maintain the weight capacity for some cargo to be carried without protection, to conveniently keep a spare tire and other cargo under a truck bed, and to thereby protect the spare tire and the other cargo against a robbery, moisture, and dirt. A cargo protecting device of a pick-up truck comprises metallic supporting structures disposed at fixed positions in the pick-up truck; a bed floor(14) supported and fixed by the metallic supporting structures and composed of a first supporting plate(15), which is coplanar with a plane(P), for directly supporting cargo; a first storage(70) disposed under the plane; and a second storage(86). The boundary of the first storage is fixed by a first shell(72) having a first opening(80) and a second opening(82). The first storage is accessible through the first opening from upper side of the plane. The first opening and the second opening are large enough to pass spare tires. The second storage is beneath the bed floor and contiguous to the second opening. The second storage is separated from the first storage and accessible from the first storage through the second opening. The second storage provides a space for one spare tire beneath the bed floor.
