APPARATUS FOR DETECTING AND CONTROLLING ABNORMAL STATE OF SHORT RING IN MOTOR USING TEMPERATURE AND POWER IN THE MOTOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting and controlling an abnormal state of a short ring in a motor is provided to cool short ring and to make an alarm by detecting a temperature of the short ring of the motor and a power of the motor. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting and controlling an abnormal state of a short ring includes temperature detectors(TS1,TS2), a power detector, an I/V converter(61), a DI input portion(62), a calculator(63), a temperature comparator(64), a power comparator(65), an abnormality determiner(66), and an output portion(67). The I/V converter converts an internal and external temperature signals and a voltage signal of the power detector to a voltage signal. The DI input portion inputs a block signal to a motor and a driving signal of a cooling fan. The calculator calculates a difference between the internal and external temperatures of a short ring chamber. The temperature comparator compares a predetermined alarm value and predetermined stop value with the output of the calculator. The power comparator compares a predetermined voltage value with the output of the I/V converter. The abnormality determiner provides the driving signal to the cooling fan and the block signal to the motor based on the comparisons.
