METHOD OF MANUFACTURING TOP-EMITTING OLED DEVICE HAVING IMPROVED POWER DISTRIBUTION, INCLUDING STEPS OF PROVIDING OPTICALLY OPAQUE LOWER ELECTRODES, DEPOSITING ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENCE MEDIUM STRUCTURE, SELECTIVELY REMOVING ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENCE MEDIUM STRUCTURE, AND DEPOSITING LIGHT TRANSMITTING UPPER ELECTRODE

PURPOSE: A method is provided to improve power distribution in a light transmitting upper electrode. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step of providing optically opaque lower electrodes(104-1,104-2,104-3,104-4,104-5) spaced apart from each other and upper electrode buses(114) electrically insulated from the lower electrodes, on a substrate(102); a second step of depositing an organic electroluminescence medium structure on the lower electrodes and the upper electrode buses; a third step of selectively removing the organic electroluminescence medium structure over at least parts of the upper electrode buses so as to expose at least upper surfaces of the upper electrode buses; and a fourth step of depositing a light transmitting upper electrode(140) on the organic electroluminescence medium structure such that the upper electrode electrically contact at least upper surfaces of the upper electrode buses.
