MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A CALLER-SELECTABLE VOICE MAIL BOX SERVICE AND A METHOD THEREOF, PARTICULARLY FOR ALLOWING A CALLER TO SELECT AND SEND A VOICE MESSAGE ACCORDING TO A SITUATION OR A RECEIVER WHEN HIS/HER CALL IS SWITCHED TO A VOICE MAIL BOX SERVICE BECAUSE A CALLEE DOES NOT ANSWER

PURPOSE: A mobile communication system for providing a sender-selectable voice mail box service and its method are provided to heighten frequency of the use of a voice mail box service by allowing a user to send a voice message through a simple select operation. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal(210) of a caller creates voice messages for each situation and each callee and stores them in a voice mail box. When the caller makes a call but a voice mail box service is executed because a mobile terminal(212) of a callee does not answer, the caller of the mobile terminal(210) selects a voice message suitable for a situation from the voice mail box and transmits it to the callee. Mobile communication networks(120,220) transmit the call request of the caller's mobile terminal(210) to the callee's mobile terminal(212), and if the callee's mobile terminal(212) does not respond to the call request, the mobile communication networks(120,220) request the voice mail box service. A voice service server(240) allocates each storage area with respect to the voice mail box, and receives voice messages according to situations and callees and stores them. When the mobile communication networks(120,220) requests the voice mail box service according to a call request by the mobile terminal(210), the voice service server(240) allows the caller's mobile terminal(210) selects one of the voice messages stored in the voice mail box and send it to a voice mail box of the callee's mobile terminal(212). A voice service database(242) stores multiple voice messages according to situations and callees as data.
