Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A corpuscle electrophoretic display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to simplify a manufacturing process and improve display contrast and response speed by using light confinement. CONSTITUTION: A first substrate(601) formed of a transparent material has first electrodes formed of a transparent material. A second substrate(602) formed of a transparent material has second electrodes formed of a transparent material. A micro channel plate(605) is installed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and through which a plurality of micro channels(606) pass. The micro channel includes a plurality of corpuscles electrically movable by an electric field applied between the first electrodes and the second electrodes. A sectional area of the micro channel becomes large as the micro channel goes to the first substrate from a predetermined position in the micro channel plate while another sectional area of the micro channel adjacent to the second substrate has regular shape.
