Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A disk reproducing device is provided to detect whether a door is completely closed, and to rotate a door motor in door closing direction if the door is open in a door close mode, then to forcibly close the open door, thereby avoiding any risk caused when the door is open during a disk reproduction. CONSTITUTION: A detecting unit detects whether a door(2) is completely closed. If the door(2) is open in a door close mode, a controller rotates a door motor in a door closing direction to close the door(2). The controller decides whether a predetermined time elapses after starting to rotate the door motor in the door close mode. If the door(2) is detected as being in open state, the controller stops a rotation of a disk(10) and simultaneously rotates the door motor in a door opening direction to open the door(2).
