LOCKING SYSTEM OF TRUNK LID FOR VEHICLE, FOR SIMPLY UNLOCKING TRUNK LID BY DRIVING SMALL MOTOR AND ROTATING WORM GEAR AND WORM WHEEL

PURPOSE: A locking system of a trunk lid for a vehicle is provided to minimize noise and wrong operation by unlocking the trunk lid with operation of a small motor and rotation of a worm gear and a worm wheel, and to reduce manufacturing cost by simplifying the assembling structure of the latch. CONSTITUTION: A latch(11) having a fitting projection(12) is turned around a first shaft(13) and combined with the lower part of a base panel(10). A motor(20) for unlocking the latch according to signals in operating a key of a driver's seat, a worm gear(21) vertically turned from operation of the motor and a worm wheel(22) horizontally turned from vertical rotation of the worm gear are formed in the upper part of the base panel. A lever(30) is fixed to a second shaft(31), and composed of a fitting sill(32) and a T-shaped extension part(33) placed near the worm wheel. A locking release projection(40) is integrally formed in the edge of the worm wheel to displace the fitting projection of the latch from the fitting sill of the lever by pushing the extension part of the lever. A spring is connected to the lever and the latch to unlock the latch from the striker in displacing the fitting projection from the fitting sill.
