HAND CLEANSING COMPOSITION HAVING EXCELLENT SKIN STABILITY, STORAGE STABILITY, ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY AND CLEANSING AND RINSING PROPERTIES

PURPOSE: Provided is a hand cleansing composition which has excellent skin stability, storage stability, antibacterial activity and cleansing and rinsing properties. Therefore, the composition is useful for cleansing hands of persons working for medical services. CONSTITUTION: A hand cleansing composition comprises 50 wt.% of lower alcohol as a sterilizing agent, 15-35 parts by weight of water as a diluent, 0.05-5 parts by weight of carbomer as a thickening agent, 0.1-2 parts by weight of tocopherol acetate(vitamin E) as a skin condition controlling agent, 0.1-10 parts by weight of glycerine and 0.2-4 parts by weight of propylene glycol as a moisturizing agent, 0.3-1 parts by weight of isopropyl myristate as an emollient, an appropriate amount of aminomethyl propanol as a pH controlling agent. The composition further contains 62 parts by weight of methanol and a small amount of fragrance, and has a viscosity of 4000-12000 centipoise, and a pH value of 7-8.5.
