Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A method and a computer program product for programmatically diagnosing/resolving basic causes of a problem on a computing system are provided to monitor events generated by a proper tool in an OS(Operating System), record a partial set of the events to a log file, and detect error conditions. CONSTITUTION: The events are generated in the OS(301). The partial set of the events is recorded in the log file(302). The error conditions are detected(303). A diagnosis module is called by responding to a step for detecting the error conditions(311). The diagnosis module correlates the events related to a diagnosis proven from the error condition by querying the log file(312). A query result is estimated. In response to estimation, the basic causes of the error condition are understood(314).
