Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A test tray and test system for determining a response of a biological sample are provided, thereby easily identifying the optimal compound combinations and concentrations by arranging the compounds or combinations in a factorial design in wells of the test array, so that the determination of the biological sample response can be improved. CONSTITUTION: The test tray(104) for determining a response of a biological sample comprises a body having multiple wells containing one or more compounds on the surface; and optionally a sealing element or an information storage device(108) which device(108) may store information showing a particular factorial design and is selected from electrical storage devices, optical storage devices, magnetic storage devices, and read/write memory information storage device, wherein the number of wells of the test tray(104) may be at least 100,000 wells; the compounds may be predispensed and be a desiccated form; the compounds may be antimicrobial agents, antibiotics, or pharmaceutical agents; at least one compound is selectively present in a plurality of wells at different concentrations; and the compounds are arranged by a factorial design which design may be preselected and may a linear design or a complete factorial design containing multiple repetitions of a plurality of trials.
