Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: An optical disk device is provided to attach each member to a frame, and to directly attach the frame to a portable electronic device without a casing, thereby realizing a thinner and lighter portable electronic device. CONSTITUTION: A frame(18) has a through hole(18a) into which a pickup module(19) is inserted. An uplift portion(18c) rising from a front side(18b) is installed up to the front side(18b) from a rear side(18d). The pickup module(19) is inserted into the through hole(18a) from the rear side(18d). The uplift portion(18c) is installed to protect an end part of the pickup module(19). The first circuit board(23) is in polygon shape, while the second circuit board is in polygon shape having an arch-type cutout portion. The first circuit board(23) controls a laser beam signal for reading/writing a disk. The second circuit board controls a spindle motor(19e), a motor for moving a carriage(20), or an actuator(22).
