Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A method and a device for reporting global errors on a logically partitioned data processing system executing heterogeneous OSs(Operating System) are provided to report the global errors on the logically partitioned processing system that different kinds of OSs are present in partitions. CONSTITUTION: In response to global error detection, a unique ID is assigned to the global ID(404). The unique ID is transferred to a service focal point(406). The service focal point transfers the unique ID to the partitions(408). Error information from the partitions is reported to the service focal point.
