OLIGONUCLEOTIDES FOR STIMULATING IMMUNE RESPONSE USEFUL AS AN IMMUNOADJUVANT

PURPOSE: Oligonucleotides for stimulating immune response are provided, thereby increasing humoral immunity, and inducing cell-mediated immunity by stimulating the immune cells. Therefore, the oligonucleotides can be useful as an immunoadjuvant. CONSTITUTION: The oligonucleotide for stimulating immune response has the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:1, 5-RYCGYRCGYYRCGRR-3, wherein R is purine such as adenine or guanine; and Y is pyrimidine such as cytosine or thymine, wherein the oligonucleotide further contains YYYY in its 3-terminal; the oligonucleotide for stimulating immune response has the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:2, 5-GTCGCACGTTGCCGAA-3; the oligonucleotide for stimulating immune response has the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:3, 5-GTCGCACGTTGCCGAACTTC-3; and the phosphodiester bond between nucleotides is substituted with the phosphorothioate bond.
