Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A system and a method for utilizing generation of smooth color gradients using geometrical surface modeling are provided to easily specify complex gradients. CONSTITUTION: An input component(110) receives outer boundary curves, feature curves, and information related to color of the curves. An intermediate description component(120) converts input color information into another color space appropriate for a gradient generator(130) from one color space, and provides intermediate description of boundary curves and feature curves based on poly lines. The gradient generator receives the intermediate description of boundary curves and feature curves for generating color gradients based on the color information.
