Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: An EMB(electro-mechanical brake) system with a braking torque sensor is provided to measure the braking torque directly and accurately, and to prevent overheat by installing the braking torque sensor tangentially in the circumference of the disk. CONSTITUTION: An EMB system(10) comprises a brake pad(21) vertically moving back and forth to a brake disk surface(20); a torque member(30) surrounding the brake pad to guide movement of the brake pad; and a braking torque sensor(40) installed at the side of the torque member contacted to the brake pad to measure braking torque. The braking torque sensor is exposed atmospherically at both sides of the torque member, and cooled by air to prevent overheat. The braking torque is calculated accurately and directly by forming the braking torque sensor tangentially in the circumference of the disk with the simple layout.
