Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A prism sheet and a liquid crystal display device using the same are provided to minimize damage and deformation by prism convexes of a prism sheet, and reduce the number of parts and the unit cost of production. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display panel displays an image. A lamp emits light. A light guide plate is arranged at the rear of the liquid crystal display panel for radiating the light towards the liquid crystal display panel. An optical sheet layer is interposed between the liquid crystal display panel and the light guide plate. The optical sheet layer includes a plurality of prism sheets having a plurality of prism convexes with a predetermined pitch. The top of each prism convex(46) of a first prism sheet(36) is a cut plane(46a) opposite to the other side surface.
