Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A multi-ear jack is provided to perform multimedia functions of various external accessories by forming an ear jack as one terminal. CONSTITUTION: A multi-ear jack includes an ear jack, an ADC, a memory, a regulator, and a control unit. The ear jack(40) is used for providing functions of two or more external accessories. An ADC(Analog-Digital Conversion) unit is used for converting resistances of the external accessories to ADC values. A memory is used for storing the ADC values of the external accessories. A regulator(70) is used for supplying the power to the external accessories. A control unit(10) controls a process for converting the resistances of the external accessories to ADC values and determines what kinds of external accessories are inserted into the ear jack. 본 발명은 외부 악세사리를 교환하여 여러가지 기능을 제공하는 휴대용 단말기가, 적어도 두 개의 외부 악세사리의 기능을 제공할 수 있는 이어잭과, 상기 이어잭에 삽입된 외부 악세사리의 저항값을 ADC(Analog-To-Digital Conversion)값으로 변환하는 ADC(Analog-To-Digital Conversion)와, 상기 외부 악세사리들의 ADC(Analog-To-Digital Conversion)값이 저장된 메모리와, 상기 이어잭에 삽입된 외부 악세사리에 전원을 공급하는 레귤레이터와, 상기 이어잭에 삽입된 외부 악세사리의 종류를 판단하여 해당기능을 수행하도록 제어하는 제어부로 구성됨을 특징으로 한다.
