Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: An optical transmission system using an optical phase modulator is provided to implement an effective high speed and high density WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) transmission terminal by overcoming limitation of transmission quality caused by an electric low band pass filter. CONSTITUTION: A duobinary modulator(100) codes NRZ data by using a duobinary precoder(101), amplifies it by using a driving amplifier(102), and inputs it to a phase modulator(103) so as to be phase-modulated. The phase-modulated optical signal passes through an optical band pass filter(104) having a bit rate of 0.7/T. The optical signal is then converted into a duobinary signal and outputted. The outputted duobinary signal is made incident on a chirp-free Mach-Zender modulator(201) of a carrier-suppressed RZ(Return-to-Zero) unit(200), in which a clock(202) with a period of 2T is applied to generate a carrier-suppressed RZ signal.
본 발명은 광전송시스템에 관한 것으로, 특히 통상적으로 사용하는 광 위상변조기(Phase Modulator)를 이용하여 DCS-RZ신호를 출력하는 송신기로 전송품질의 향상과 고속의 전송을 할 수 있는 광전송 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 광 위상변조기(Phase Modulator)를 이용하여 DCS-RZ(Duobinary carrier suppressed RZ) 송신기를 구현한 것으로 종래의 듀오바이너리 송신기를 이용한 DCS-RZ 구조에 비하여 간소한 DCS-RZ 송신기의 구성이 가능하며, 전기적 저대역 필터에 의한 전송품질의 한계성을 극복함으로써, 효율적인 고속, 고밀도 WDM 전송단의 구현할 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명의 DCS-RZ발생 송신기는 광 트랜스폰더(transponder), 광트랜스미터(transmitter), 광트랜시버(transceiver)와 WDM 광전송시스템, SONET/SDH, 이더넷(Ethernet) 전송시스템에도 적용할 수 있다. |
