Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: Provided is a lithium secondary battery, which has high discharge capacity, low irreversible capacity, high charge/discharge Ah efficiency, and high specific energy at a low temperature. CONSTITUTION: The lithium secondary battery comprises an electrolyte solution consisting of 1M LiPF6 as an electrolyte salt and a solvent comprising ethylene carbonate(EC), diethyl carbonate(DEC) and dimethyl carbonate(DMC) in the volume ratio of EC:DEC:DMC=3:5:5. The electrolyte solution may further comprise ethyl methyl carbonate(EMC) or methyl propyl carbonate(MPC) as a solvent, wherein the volume ratio of EC:DEC:DMC:EMC or MPC is 3:5:5:1. 본 발명은 높은 방전용량과 낮은 비가역용량을 가지면서 방전 용량(Ah) 효율도 높으며 더욱이 온도특성도 우수한 전해액 조성을 사용함으로써 우수한 전지특성을 갖는 리튬이차전지를 제공하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 본 발명의 리튬이차전지는, 리튬이차전지에 있어서, 1M LiPFEC:DEC:DMC(3:5:5 체적비율) 전해액 조성을 리튬이차전지의 전해액으로 사용하거나, 상기 전해액 조성에서 EMC(ethyl methyl carbonate)를 용매로서 더 포함하는 전해액을 사용하거나, 또는 상기 전해액 조성에서 MPC(methyl propyl carbonate)를 용매로서 더 포함하는 전해액을 사용함으로써, 우수한 전지 특성을 얻을 수 있다.
