Center Pillar Trim Structure for Curtain Air-Bag Expansion

PURPOSE: A center pillar trim structure for the expansion of a curtain air bag is provided to certainly protect passengers by securing space for easily expanding the curtain air bag toward the room of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A center pillar trim structure for the expansion of a curtain air bag(1) expands the curtain air bag installed between a vehicle body inner panel and a head lining toward the room of a vehicle. The center pillar trim structure comprises an upper center pillar trim(21) the upper end of which is bent toward the vehicle body inner panel and inserted, and a lower center pillar trim(22) connected to the upper center pillar trim while covering the lower end of the upper center pillar trim from the outside. The lower center pillar trim supports the upper center pillar trim and receives the upper center pillar trim moving downwardly when the curtain air bag expands. 본 발명은 차체 인너패널과 헤드라이닝 사이에 설치된 커튼 에어백을 실내측으로 전개시키기 위한 센터필러트림구조로서, 상단부가 차체 인너패널측으로 삽입되는 상부센터필러트림과, 상기 상부센터필러트림의 하단부를 외측에서 감싸면서 상부센터필러트림과 연결되며, 상기 상부센터필러트림을 지지하되 커튼 에어백의 팽창시에는 하부로 이동하는 상기 상부센터필러트림을 수용하는 하부센터필러트림으로 구성되어 있어, 커튼 에어백의 팽창시 하부로 이동된 상부센터필러트림이 위치했던 공간을 통해서 커튼 에어백이 용이하게 실내측으로 전개될 수 있도록 한다.
