Method and apparatus for controlling output of external input signal in signal processing system

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for controlling output of an external input signal in a signal processing system are provided to control output of a signal of an external A/V input port by automatically confirming a password when the signal is selected as a TV output signal. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether or not a screen output signal selection mode is converted to an external input signal selection mode(202). When the screen output signal selection mode is converted into the external input signal selection mode, an image with a code input window is outputted(203). A code inputted to the code input window is compared with a previously stored code(204). When the inputted code matches the memorized code, a selected external input signal is normally processed(205). The output of the selected external input signal is blocked when the inputted code does not match the stored code(206). 본 발명은 신호처리 시스템의 출력 제어 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로서, 특히 출력신호로 외부 입력 단자의 신호가 선택되는 경우에 암호를 확인한 후에 출력 여부를 제어하는 신호처리 시스템에서의 외부 입력 신호 출력 제어 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의하면 신호처리 시스템의 외부 입력단자로 입력되는 신호가 출력신호로 선택되는 경우에, 자동적으로 암호를 확인하는 프로세스를 거친 후에 암호 확인 결과에 따라서 출력 여부를 결정하도록 제어함으로써, 외부 입력단자를 통하여 입력되는 영상물이 무제한적으로 출력되는 것을 방지할 수 있는 효과가 발생된다. 특히, 외부 입력단자로 입력되는 유해한 영상물로부터 어린이 및 청소년들이 노출되는 것을 방지할 수 있는 효과가 발생된다.
