Wireless LAN service system for settling service point and method thereof

PURPOSE: A system and a method for a wireless LAN service processing a point settlement are provided to offer an Internet service to a user terminal connected through the wireless LAN by linking with an external network, and to settle the Internet service charge by collecting various kinds of point data, and to perform the roaming between a wireless LAN area and a mobile communication network area. CONSTITUTION: NIF(Network InterFace) parts(610,620) are activated to communicate data or inactivated not to communicate the data by respectively allocating a wire/wireless internal and an external network, and setting the network information. A service gateway(640) includes a registration tool, a point processing tool, a certification tool, and a settlement tool. An INET(Ip Network) data processor(630) offers a network address translating function, adjusts a path setting routine by inputting an external authorized network gateway, processes the message traffic between internal/external network, offers the wireless LAN service by processing the data communication between the internal/external network, and functions the service gateway. 본 발명은 무선랜 접속 서비스 시스템 및 그 방법을 제공한다. 본 발명에 의한 포인트 결제를 처리하는 무선랜 서비스 시스템은 무선접속장치를 포함하는 유/무선 내부 네트워크 및 외부 네트워크 각각에 할당되어 데이터를 송수신 하도록 활성화되거나 데이터를 송수신하지 않도록 비활성화되는 NIF부; 사용자단말기로부터 등록정보, 식별정보, 결제정보 및 포인트제공사의 정보를 전송받아 저장하는 등록수단, 포인트제공사의 서버로부터 포인트 데이터를 전송받아 하나의 전자화폐 단위로 환산하는 포인트 처리수단, 사용자단말기로부터 식별정보를 수신하여 인증하고 전자화폐의 충전 여부를 확인하여 무선랜 서비스를 제공하도록 하는 인증수단 및 전자화폐 결제를 처리하고 결제정보에 따라 해당 금융사서버로 결제된 전자화폐 정보를 전송하는 결제수단을 구비하는 서비스 게이트웨이; 및 네트워크 주소 번역 기능을 제공하고 외부 네트워크 통신시 외부 공인망 게이트웨이를 실시간 입력하여 경로 설정 루틴을 조정하며 공인된 하나의 DNS서버로 룩업 요청을 집중시키고 IP패킷데이터를 포워딩시킴으로써, 내/외부 네트워크간 데이터 통신을 처리하여 무선랜 서비스를 제공하고 서비스게이트웨이를 기능시키는 INET 데이터처리부를 포함한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 무선랜 서비스 사용자는 자신이 보유한 각종 포인트를 이용하거나 카드 소액 결제를 통하여 간편하게 인터넷 서비스를 제공받을 수 있고, 금융사는 신규 가입자를 다수 유치할 수 있으며 회원 가입자의 탈퇴를 방지할 수있고 인터넷 사용자를 대상으로 금융 서비스 영업을 활성화할 수 있다. 또한, 포인트 제공사를 비롯한 제휴업체는 사용자 위치에 기반한 맞춤 서비스, VoIP 전화 서비스, 모바일 상거래 서비스 및 광고/홍보 컨텐츠 등을 이동통신단말기로 제공할 수 있다.
