Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce manufacturing costs and procedures, while achieving improved discharge efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a pair of sustaining electrodes formed on an upper substrate(54) so as to cause a sustaining discharge; an upper dielectric layer(42) formed on the upper substrate so as to cover the pair of sustaining electrodes; and a protective film formed on the upper dielectric layer and made of a tetragonal magnesium oxide single crystal powder having a size of 5 to 20μm. The upper dielectric layer is made of a glass powder with sputtering resistance characteristics.
본 발명은 단결정형 산화마그네슘으로 보호막을 형성함으로써 공정수를 감소시킬 수 있는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널은 유지방전을 일으키기 위해 상부기판 상에 형성되는 유지전극쌍과, 유지전극쌍을 덮도록 상기 상부기판 전면에 형성되는 상부 유전체층과, 상부 유전체층 상에 정방정형 산화마그네슘 단결정분말로 형성되는 보호막을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 한다. |
