ANTITHROMBOTIC EXTRACTS FROM ASCIDIANS AND PROCESS FOR ITS EXTRACTION

PURPOSE: A method of obtaining an ascidian extract containing antithrombogenic sulfated polysaccharide as a main component. The extract has an effect of inhibiting the thrombin activity and preventing the activation of blood platelets and thus is used as a health supplementary food and drug and can prevent cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, myocardial infarction, arteriosclerosis, coronary artery disease or the like. CONSTITUTION: An ascidian extract contains antithrombogenic sulfated polysaccharide comprising dermatan sulfate, heparin and chondroitin sulfate is obtained by extracting the meat of an ascidian. To produce the ascidian extract, a skin is removed from the ascidian, the meat thereof is ground, extracted at a pH from 4 to 7 using an extraction solvent comprising 0.1M sodium acetate and 5mM cysteine and then centrifuged. The above procedure is repeated 1 to 4 times. 본 발명은 생체내에서 독성이 없고, 우수한 항혈전 효과를 지닌 우렁쉥이 (Ascidians) 추출물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 우렁쉥이 추출물은 항혈전성 황화다당류를 포함하여, 시험관내 및 생체내에서 혈전의 생성을 억제하는 항혈전 효과가 우수하면서도 종래에 사용하던 약제들과는 달리 체내에서 출혈을 일으키는 등의 부작용이 없으므로, 항혈전성 건강보조식품, 및 정맥 또는 피하주사 제제로써이용가능한 항혈전제로서 사용될 수 있다.
