The Transposed Scan Type C-CRT

PURPOSE: A transposed scan color cathode ray tube is provided to achieve improved color purity by adjusting the horizontal length of the slot of the shadow mask with respect to the vertical length of the slot. CONSTITUTION: A transposed scan color cathode ray tube comprises an electron gun where three cathodes for emitting red, green and blue electron beams are arranged in a vertical line; a screen where the electron beams emitted from the electron gun collide against a phosphor screen so as to produce a color; a shadow mask(5) spaced apart from the screen, and which discriminates colors; and a deflection yoke including a vertical coil for which forms a pin cushion magnetic field for deflecting, in a shorter axis direction of the screen, the electron beam emitted from the electron gun and a horizontal coil for which forms a barrel magnetic field for deflecting, in a longer axis direction of the screen, the electron beam emitted from the electron gun.
