Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A method for controlling a microwave oven is provided to shorten a total cooking time and reduce the power consumption by reducing an output of a microwave oven before boiling water and increasing the output of the microwave oven in a steaming process. CONSTITUTION: A cooking setup process is performed to set up sequentially a cooking process by pushing operating buttons of an input portion(S10). The first cooking process is performed by controlling an output of a magnetron after the cooking setup process is performed. The first cooking process includes a process for preventing the overflow of water(S50). A cooking time setup process is performed to set up the second cooking time. The second cooking process is performed by controlling the output of the magnetron(S60). 본 발명은 공기밥을 할 수 있는 전자레인지의 제어방법에 관한 것으로, 공기밥 취사시 물이 끓기 전 전자레인지의 출력을 감소시킴으로써 물 넘침을 방지할 수 있으며, 뜸들임 과정에서 소정시간 경과 후 전자레인지의 출력을 증가시킴으로써 빠른 취사가 가능하게 하고 이에 따라 전제조리시간을 줄일 수 있어 소비전력을 감소시키는 효과가 있다.
